Hi, I’m Iri.

I’m a student of life, just like you.

If you want to see my credentials, I’ve listed them below, but I would say they are irrelevant. In this journey of learning what love actually is and who we really are, we are all beginners. The only thing that makes me equipped to hold your hand through these uncomfortable rites of passage is my own experience.

And my faith. Deep in my bones, I know that though it feels like death, it is actually the beginning of aliveness and authenticity. And I’m excited for you.

My experience and work with people have shown me that our greatest suffering comes from the lies we tell ourselves.

These lies are not random - they are often much older than us, often unconscious, carried in our DNA for generations and believed in our bones…because they served us to survive. Once intelligence in action, now they keep us trapped in our own cage.

If we are lucky, one day they start hurting too much to be ignored. They wreck havoc in our circumstances and relationships. They bring us to a crossroad. It feels like hell, but it is the work of Grace and a blessing.

Life wants us to be free, to be authentically ourselves…hence the pain.

Our society rushes to relieve the symptoms, diagnose and give painkillers, but this pain is not to be fixed. It’s sacred – it gives us the impetus to finally look, to sincerely want to know the truth.

Intellectually discerning the truth doesn’t do the job either. It has to land deeper.

There is an ocean of difference between being aware of a pattern and the moment of insight, where the truth about it lands in your body forever. Change only follows the latter, not the former.

Through this work, I help facilitate that moment of embodied insight.

I seem to be guided to ask you questions and point you in a certain direction, until you see what was hidden from you in plain sight…Until you receive your own Medicine beyond any doubt.

Once it is seen and received, it cannot be unseen and lost.

After that, there is little that I or you need to do - your life reorganises itself on its own. To me, it is a mystery how it works. To state otherwise would be a lie. All I know is that it takes your sincere desire to want to know the truth. If that’s present, I’d be honoured to support you.

My training and the tools I use

  • I am certified in Leela Therapy, Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy and NLP. The best way I can describe Leela Therapy is a combination of embodied effective inquiry and hypnotherapy for healing and self-discovery.

After my certification in 2000, I continued training in trauma-related approaches (Somatic Experiencing), IFS and therapeutic models for Psychedelics-assisted therapy. I use all of these tools as needed in sessions.

I have experience in psilocybin facilitation, including co-creating the curriculum for the Leela School State-approved Psilocybin Facilitator Training program in Oregon.

  • I am a Certified Mindfulness teacher and I have been training other facilitators through the Mindfulness Now UK program since 2000.

I’m a Certified Yoga Teacher and am teaching regularly in our local studio Dawn Collective Shala in Aljezur.

I believe that our minds and bodies are not separate and our emotions are stored at the cellular level. For me, an approach that only focuses on the conscious mind is incomplete and lacking in depth.

  • I call this part a mystery, because I don’t fully understand how it works, but I feel guided in our work together and I have come to trust that, after quite a lot of skepticism.

Compassionate inquiry is the process, through which we uncover together what your circumstances are trying to reflect back to you. People who work with me often report it feeling like “tough love”, because the truth is often bitter, but incredibly freeing and empowering at the same time.

It feels strange to include prayer, because I am not a religious person, but prayer has become an important part of my work. What I mean by prayer is having a sincere desire at the level of the soul. I believe that we are guided and supported by a greater intelligence and a sincere desire is what it takes.

At my level of soul development, I mostly pray to be shown the truth and encourage my clients to do the same. This may sound trivial, but most of us don’t really have a sincere desire for the truth - we prefer to hold on to our version of things (and that’s often a lie).

Ready?

Let’s work together.
